It's better to buy a foldaway unit because you can easily follow the sun & get direct feed from the sun. Roof mounted solar systems are much more expensive because they are thinner therefor you need more cells to get the same power as a foldaway kit which have thicker cells, also roof solar is known to be more costly to repiar if a cell is broken which is more than likely being constantly in open conditions.
